Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Limited opportunities may be available for individuals aged 14–17 with written parental/guardian consent and under direct supervision.

Volunteers support AAEF’s mission in a variety of ways, depending on community needs, program focus, and individual skills. Opportunities may include assisting with community relief initiatives, supporting partner organizations delivering food security and essential services, helping coordinate educational programs or convenings, contributing to workforce and skills-development efforts, supporting humanitarian or crisis-response activities, and assisting with research, communications, or administrative functions. Volunteer roles are designed to be meaningful, respectful, and aligned with AAEF’s commitment to dignity, service, and community empowerment.

Volunteer opportunities at AAEF are offered on a rolling basis and depend on active programs, partner needs, and community priorities. Once you submit an interest form, opportunities may become available as initiatives launch or expand. Participation is subject to an approval process, which may include role-specific onboarding requirements and internal background checks to ensure the safety, integrity, and effectiveness of our programs.
