Purpose and Context
Philanthropy is grounded in voluntary action for the common good. It reflects a tradition of generosity and shared responsibility that strengthens communities and advances education, understanding, and social well-being.
The American Abrahamic Education Foundation (AAEF) is committed to earning and maintaining the trust of its donors and supporters. To promote transparency and informed engagement, AAEF affirms the following Donor Bill of Rights for donor awareness.
Donors Have the Right:
I. To be informed of AAEF’s mission, its educational and charitable objectives, and the manner in which donated resources are intended to be used to advance those purposes.
II. To be informed that AAEF is governed by a board of directors responsible for exercising prudent judgment and fiduciary oversight in furtherance of the organization’s mission.
III. To have access to AAEF’s most recent publicly available financial and organizational information, consistent with applicable law and reporting requirements.
IV. To be assured that contributions will be used in a manner consistent with the donor’s expressed intent and applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
V. To receive appropriate acknowledgment of contributions, in accordance with applicable law, organizational practice, and donor preferences.
VI. To be assured that information relating to donations is handled with respect and confidentiality, to the extent permitted by law, and in accordance with AAEF’s Privacy Policy.
VII. To expect that all interactions with individuals representing AAEF will be professional, respectful, and aligned with the organization’s ethical standards.
VIII. To be informed, upon reasonable inquiry, whether individuals soliciting contributions are volunteers, employees of AAEF, or authorized third-party service providers.
IX. To have the opportunity to request that their name and contact information be removed from AAEF mailing or communication lists, in accordance with applicable law and organizational practices.
X. To feel free to ask questions when considering a contribution and to receive prompt, truthful, and good-faith responses.

• AAEF does not provide legal or tax advice. Donors are encouraged to consult their own professional advisers regarding the tax or legal treatment of contributions.
• This Donor Bill of Rights is intended to promote transparency and awareness and does not create contractual or legally enforceable rights beyond those provided by applicable law.
